WHAT WE SUPPORT
Kent District Library is a millage-supported system. Current millage levels sustain current programs and services; however, for KDL to grow and flourish to meet the needs of future generations, a new sustainable revenue source was established — the KDL Fund.
Donations to the Library help to fund programs and services that would not otherwise be possible. When you make a gift to KDL, you help ensure that the library can fulfill its mission for generations to come, and that it will remain a valuable asset in the community.
Your gift to the KDL Fund currently supports
the library's literacy programs for young children.
All gifts to the KDL Fund are deductible to the extent provided by law.

Your gift to the KDL Annual Fund will be used to strengthen literacy programs and initiatives for young children. By focusing its initial efforts on young children, KDL is confident that it can have the greatest impact on lifelong learning.
Gifts to the KDL Annual Fund will support the following initiatives:
- Early Literacy Centers: Imagination Stations — Innovative, interactive learning environments designed specifically for children from birth through age five.
- Early Literacy Computer Stations — Stand-alone computer systems with over 35 educational software packages for children ages two through eight.
- Play, Grow, Read . . . to Your Baby! — A literacy program that engages parents of newborns with the important role they play in the healthy development of their children.
Donors to the KDL Annual Fund will be recognized through the Great Authors Society.

Your investment in the KDL Endowment Fund is a lasting legacy to meet the future needs of our library, citizens, and community.
The KDL Endowment Fund is administered through the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.
Donors to the KDL Endowment Fund will be recognized through the Andrew Carnegie Endowment Society.

Gifts to the KDL Fund can allow you to create a legacy of lifelong learning while meeting your own financial and personal objectives. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to: reduce income, gift, and estate taxes; secure a source of cash flow for the rest of your life; or reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes. Contact Janice Fonger in the KDL development office for more information.
If you choose to make a gift to the KDL Endowment Fund through a provision in your estate plan, it will be recognized through the KDL Legacy Society.
Gifts to any KDL Fund can be made in honor or memory of someone special in your life.
