KDL Policy 5.11

Responsible and Ethical Fundraising Practices

  • Kent District Library will adhere to the highest ethical standards while engaging in fundraising activities for or on behalf of KDL or its branch libraries. KDL will use as its guide the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice.

  • Kent District Library believes that responsible stewardship and respect for donors is essential. As such KDL will adhere to A Donor Bill of Rights to direct our relations with current and prospective donors.

KDL Fund Development Board

The KDL Fund Development Board is a standing advisory committee of the KDL Board of Trustees that provides guidance, oversight and support to all major forms of fundraising.
