Summer Programs for Teens

World War II Re-enactor – Saturday, June 22, 2:00 pm Discover what it was like to be a soldier during World War II. For this informal drop-in program, reenactor Andrew Garrison will discuss his collection of authentic uniforms, weapons and equipment used by both American and German soldiers. In partnership with the Byron Center Museum and Historical Society. For teens and adults.

Under the Radar: Dystopian Survival – Wednesday, June 22, 2:00 pm Can you handle the dystopian worlds of popular teen novels? Try your hand at bow and arrow target practice, see if you can blend in with a pack of zombies, hoard items you need to survive and more! For teens grades 6-12.

Beneath the Surface: Marble Magnets – Wednesday, July 10, 2:00 pm Create a set of magnets for yourself or a friend. What lies beneath the surface is for you to decide—they’re easy and fun to make! For teens grades 6-12.

Beneath the Electronic Surface – Wednesday, August 7, 2:00 pm Like to tinker? Are you curious about how things work beneath the surface? Old telephones, keyboards and other gadgets will be provided for teens to take apart and explore. Spark your interest for what’s beneath the surface! For teens grades 6-12.
