I really enjoyed The Lost Gate by Orson Scott Card. It interweaves two stories set in different dimensions and set up a unique magical system and world. One of the stories is set in our modern world while the other is a dimension that is somewhat medieval and more magic heavy. I loved discovering how both worlds worked in this book.

Loved the book…A Good American by Alex George! As narrated by their grandson, the life of Frederick and Jette Meisenheimer is chronicled as they leave their lives behind in Germany and build a new life for themselves, and the generations of their family that follow, in America. I think that genealogy buffs might particularly enjoy this book!

The Expats by Chris Pavone is a delightful book filled with intrigue and mystery. Set in Luxembourg, this book is a great novel to get you in the mood for Spring and travel. Audio is excellent too!

This book explores how human nature and biology affect the outcome in disasters. It was fascinating hearing about events such as September 11, 2001 or Hurricane Katrina from the words of survivors.

If you like to listen to the Irish brogue, this is indeed a great story to read as an audio book…I did!
