Congratulations to all of our home brewers! We did not have an easy task choosing three winners from all of the high quality brews entered into our third annual KDaLe Book Inspired Homebrew contest.
Beers were judged on their aroma, appearance, flavor, mouth feel and inspiration. Much appreciation to our judges from Pike 51 Brewing Company, Railtown Brewing Company, Gravel Bottom Craft Brewery and Siciliano's. We are pleased to announce our three winners (in no particular order):
- Revolution, an Imperial Milk Stout, which was inspired by Karnak Café by Naguid Mahfouz and brewed by Adam
- Joad Family Farmhouse IPA, which was a Farmhouse ale/Brut IPA based on Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath and brewed by Nick
- Jean Valjean Saison, which was a Saison based on Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and brewed by Jeff
These three homebrewers will have one of our brewery partners (Pike, Railtown or Gravel Bottom) work with them to brew their beer for KDL's SuperPartyWonderDay, taking place this summer on August 11 at Millenium Park. Mark your calendars!
Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all who entered.
