We're deeply honored to have been named one of West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association for Business Resources.
KDL was chosen from a group of over 6,100 nominees and assessed on the basis of communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more. The results of anonymous surveys were also a major factor.
“Our employees are our greatest asset, and we want them to feel excited and proud to work for KDL,” said Brian Mortimore, Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development. “At KDL we exist to further all people, and that includes our employees. We have repeatedly asked staff: ‘What can we do to be better?’ They tell us, we listen and then we work to deliver a workplace culture that everyone can be proud of. This award is validation of a long-standing commitment to our people who work so hard in service to others. I’m
happy for everyone associated with KDL, past, present and future.”
Summer Reading kicks off with more programs and fun ideas than ever! Research shows that taking a break from reading and educational engagement causes students to fall behind. Summer Reading helps students maintain their academic performance during the summer school
break. Plus it helps preschool youth get ready for school and gives adults loads of fun ways to enjoy the summer. Nearly 20,000 people completed the Summer Reading program last year. So here's to a fantastic summer and I hope to see you at the third annual SuperPartyWonderDay, Aug. 11 at Millennium Park, and at Literary Libations Gala, Sept. 10 at Frederik Meijer Gardens.
