If KDL does not own the item you are looking for, you can request that we purchase the item, or you may borrow the item from another library.
If the item you want is not available at our library, it can usually be borrowed from another library for you. You can use the MeLCat service to search over 250 public, academic, school, and special libraries in Michigan. Look for the MeLCat link in the online catalog to search and place your request. Materials will be delivered to your local branch at no charge.

If the item you want is not available at KDL or through MeLCat, Kent District Library cardholders can request that staff search further for it. Requests are sent through the Superloan service, which checks other libraries across the nation to locate a copy of the item available for loan. There is a $5 search fee for this service.
